POSEIDON Division USNSCC
Po·sei·don, n, Latin, From Greek Poseidōn

In Greek mythology, Poseidon was the god of the sea and as "Earth-Shaker" of earthquakes. The name of the sea-god Nethuns in Etruscan was adopted in Latin for Neptune in Roman mythology: both were sea gods analogous to Poseidon. Poseidon split the world with his brothers Hades and Zeus, received as his share the sea where he wielded his trident.

    National Annual Inspection scores announced; Poseidon Division earns number one in Region 9 out of the  47 units

    16May, 2010 ~ Poseidon Division Goes From Last to Second At Flagship Competition at Great Lakes Il.

    It was a Cinderella type of story. From last place at the last Flagship Seamanship competition in 2008 to #2 in 2010.
